We create landscapes which balance simplicity and abundance, geometry and wild nature. Our gardens are guided by a love of the land and the people within.
It was initially Christine’s study of botany that led her to designing gardens and landscapes. A love for the land, the people, the habitat and a desire to create sustainable beauty made landscape architecture a natural fit.
Through dialogue, spending time on the land and making drawings by hand Christine approaches each project collaboratively in a bespoke fashion.
Details from several of our San Francisco residences in the Pacific Heights and Twin Peaks neighborhoods. We work with our clients to design gardens that reflect their passions and way of life.
This garden is inspired by the clients love of travel. The site is on the bluff, with one of the most beautiful views in West Marin. The native cypress anchor the garden and inspired the reclaimed cypress fence that organically frames the view and gives some privacy from the beach below.
This garden honors the Eichler invitation to use a garden in many ways. The owner, having worked for the Nature Conservancy, shares a deep dedication to the ecological thinking that informed the habitat, edible, and ornamental garden we co-created. We’re currently adding an outdoor kitchen that discretely blends into the landscape, beside the vegetable garden and fruit trees.
Our client requested a family playground with entertaining areas for Mom and Dad. We created an entrance leading to a multi-use backyard with something for everyone (including the chickens), with a basketball court that also functions as a patio, a vegetable garden, pool and coop.
